Serving the Children of Warminster & Surrounding Villages
The Rose Charity was founded in March 1990 by David Deacon in memory of his mother Rose Deacon, who was passionate about making sure children had the best possible start in life, so when she passed away David wanted to do something to honour her legacy. The object of the Charity is to help further the education including social and physical development of children within the town of Warminster and the surrounding villages.
The fund raising started with a dinner dance in 1989 with local people and businesses giving their time to make the evening the success it was by raising £3826.43. The fundraising and much needed charitable donations has continued over the years with local people taking the Charity to their hearts.
We have raised in excess of £250,000.00 and helped over 400 children by holding:
* Annual Ball’s, Race Night’s, Tea Dances, Skittle matches
* Balloon Race, Raffles at local village shows
* via collection boxes throughout the town
Over the years we have helped finance:
* School Education residential trips for individual students
* Counselling
* School uniforms
* Children further their talent in sports and music
The charity has no administration costs whatsoever with every penny raised going direct to the Charity for the Children who need it the most and if you would like to support our work then please click the image below and it will take you to our Go Fund Me Page (every penny comes direct to us)
